My name is Viv Daly and I founded DM Event Services in 1998. I originally came from a marketing background with a strong grounding in leisure and tourism including seven years at the prestigious St Mellion Golf and Country Club at a time when it hosted the Benson and Hedges International Open Golf Tournament annually.
The challenge of handling the jet set of international golf, the world’s media and up to 15,000 visitors a day was what prompted me to move from marketing to event management. It was a role that required a talent for organisation and considerable technical expertise plus the highest standards of integrity, reliability and creativity.
When I launched DM Event Services, I set out to apply those same high standards to a whole range of events from national conferences to school reunions. My associates and I pride ourselves on giving the same level of expert personal service to all our clients from international companies to individuals planning an important family celebration.
My motto remains a favourite quotation from Confucius -
